Our Partner

Atoskewin Business Development Corporation

ELE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ochapowace First Nation through the latter’s economic development group, Atoskewin Business Development Corporation (ABDC). Together, we are proudly moving forward in a Limited Partnership that will reflect sustainable business practices, stimulate Saskatchewan’s economy, create well-paying jobs, and bring long-term prosperity to the future generations of Ochapowace members.

“This partnership enhances our relationship with Eaglesledge for future development and ensures that Ochapowace continues to be watchful stewards of our traditional lands and at the forefront of green energy projects in our traditional territory” says Okimaw/Chief Shelley Bear.

“Our future generations depend upon us to protect these lands and waters, and we are doing that through clean energy projects such as this one.”

“Increased Indigenous engagement and business partnerships are key priorities for the Government of Saskatchewan. [ELE’s] partnership with Ochapowace First Nation’s economic development group, Atoskewin Business Development Corporation is an excellent example of creating economic opportunities in Indigenous communities. The Government of Saskatchewan is very hopeful that these positive arrangements will continue as the project advances.”
